Incredible Christmas T&V Holly pattern Chocolate pot & 4 cups with saucers!

A magnificent TALL hot chocolate pot with 4 hot chocolate cups and saucers in the Holly Berry Christmas pattern by Tressemann & Vogt.

Circa 1907-1919.

The pattern is sprigs of hand painted green holly leaves and red berries.  The sprigs are sprawled upon a robust green background on pure white china, with elaborately hand painted gold trim creating an elegant and rich design.

The chocolate pot measures 9-1/2" tall including the lid.  The cups measure 3" tall.  The saucers are 4-3/4".

No Chips, cracks, scratches or other damage.  Not a one on the entire set!

Extremely minimal wear to the gold... about as perfect as one can get for a set of china that's almost 100 years old.

This is - to be debated by fellow holly china collectors - THE FINEST and most elaborately decorated patterns made by this premier French Limoges porcelain company.

It's so very difficult to find these pieces.. and then to find a set at one time is even more rare!

I purchased this set complete several years ago.  One of the cups & saucers was sadly shattered during a Christmas gathering.  Fortunately I was able to replace them with another that I found.  In fact, I love the replacement cup better than the originals.  Notice the photo of it with the curved handle.  You'll certainly want to search for more of them!

The chocolate pot and 3 saucers are marked T&V France, Limoges France Depose in an underglaze green mark but also in addition have a mauve overglaze mark Decore Par above the traditional T&V bell with "Watham Dohrmann & Co, San Francisco.  These marks date the pieces between 1907-1919.  The original cups are marked T&V Limoges France Depose.  The replacement cup and saucer are marked T&V France in an underglaze green mark but also in addition have a mauve overglaze Limoges T&V bell dating them to an approximate year of 1907.

Imagine serving your guests hot chocolate with this set.  Or treat yourself on Christmas Eve to a special hot cup served beside your Christmas tree.
